Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
This policy explains what PushUPS ("the app"), run by PushUPS ("we"), collects, how it's used, who sees it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little. Effective October 12, 2026.
What we collect
- Account: your username, password and, if you create one, a recovery code. Passwords and recovery codes are stored only as a secure hash; we can't see them.
- Workouts: the push-up sets you log (how many and when), your daily goal, and the streaks, ranks, records and trophies worked out from them.
- Setup choices: the color you pick for the app and your time zone (so your days line up correctly).
- Social features: your friends, fist bumps, groups, challenges and duels (including any stakes note and the title the winner gives the loser), tag-chain challenges, weekly league results, who invited you (if you joined from an invite link), streak freezes you earn or spend, and anyone you block or report (with the reason you give).
- Settings and agreements: whether friends can see your progress, whether you appear on the worldwide leaderboard, and a record of when you agreed to our Terms and acknowledged our health & safety note.
- Technical data: one cookie that keeps you logged in, and standard server logs (such as IP address, device/browser type and time of request) that our hosting provider records to run and secure the service.
- Error reports: if something breaks in the app, it sends us the error message, the page and the time so we can fix it. These aren't linked to your account.
- Anonymous signup counts: before you have an account, the Get Started screens record which steps are reached, using a random ID stored in your browser. It isn't linked to you or your account; we only use it to count where people stop so we can improve signup.
- Purchases (after the beta): whether you have an active subscription. Apple handles payment; we never receive your card details.
We don't collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos or health records, and we don't use advertising or third-party analytics or tracking tools.
How we use it
Only to run the app: showing your progress, streaks, ranks and records; powering friends, groups, duels and leaderboards; helping you recover your account; keeping the app secure and competitions fair (including reviewing reports and unusual activity); and managing subscriptions. We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to profile you.
Who can see it
- Your username is visible to people who search for you, your friends, group members and duel opponents. Don't use your real name if you'd rather not.
- Friends see your rank, daily total, goal and streak, unless you turn off "Share progress with friends" in Profile. They never see your individual sets.
- Everyone can see your username and push-up totals on the worldwide leaderboard, but only if you turn it on in Profile.
- Groups and duels show your username and scores to the other people in them.
- Your friends see whether you showed up for the daily Drop and your best set in it, unless you turn off friend sharing.
- People you block can't find you in search or see you on the worldwide leaderboard. Reports are private.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your data. We only share it with:
- Our hosting provider (Railway), which stores the app and its data for us and processes it only to run the app.
- Apple, if you use the iPhone app or subscribe (Apple's own privacy policy covers what Apple collects).
- Authorities, if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
- A company that takes over the app, which would have to honor this policy.
Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track
Drop alerts in the iPhone and Android apps are scheduled on your phone; turning them on doesn't send us any data. We use one cookie to keep you logged in, and the random signup-count ID described above is kept in your browser's storage and used only by us. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't allow third parties to collect information about your activity over time or across other websites or apps through our app. Because we don't track you across sites, we treat everyone the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your account data right away; copies in backups and server logs are removed on their normal schedule, usually within 30 days (nightly database backups are kept for 7 days). Error reports are deleted after 30 days and anonymous signup counts after 180 days. We may keep a record of reports or rule violations as long as needed to keep the community safe or meet legal duties.
Your choices and rights
- See and correct: your data is shown in the app (Today, Progress, History, Profile). Edit or delete sets in History and change settings in Profile.
- Control visibility: turn friend sharing and the worldwide leaderboard on or off in Profile, and block anyone.
- Delete: delete your account anytime in Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything linked to it, including your push-up history, friends, fist bumps, duels and any groups you own.
- Get a copy or ask a question: email support@corefitbykate.com with your username and we'll respond within 45 days. If we can't help, you can reply to ask us to reconsider.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hash passwords and recovery codes, limit repeated login and reset attempts, and restrict who can access data. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we'll notify you as the law requires.
Children
You must be at least 13 to use the app. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Where we operate
The app is run from the United States and intended for users in the United States. Your data is stored in the United States.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. See also our Terms of Service.
